Internally, the JBL Quantum 400 uses 50mm neodymium dynamic drivers, which provide a 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency range. Using the audio cable, this headset is compatible with Windows, Mac, Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, mobile, and VR platforms. The USB cable, in addition to facilitating surround sound, also allows users to adjust settings using the JBL Quantum ENGINE software, as well as adjust the LED lighting on the earcups. JBL Quantum ENGINE software is compatible with Windows 7 or later. In addition to the audio and USB cables, Quantum 400 also comes with a foam windscreen for the mic.
The JBL Quantum 400 headset features a game-chat balance dial certified by Discord and compatible with TeamSpeak and other communication platforms.
Using advanced algorithms and additional overhead audio, JBL Quantum SURROUND offers virtual surround sound for increased immersion. This technology relies on the Quantum ENGINE software suite, which allows users to select preferred surround sound settings, personalize their headset, and create separate profiles. You can also adjust the equalizer or choose from six presets. DTS Headphone: X 2.0 is also supported.
