The adapter supports full electronic communication for transfer if EXIF data, phase-detection and contrast-detection autofocus, and Canon lens image stabilization. An integrated switch on the barrel of the adapter allows autofocus mode to be selected without having to navigate a camera menu. .

The removable tripod foot is tapped with a 1/4″-20 accessory thread, providing for direct attachment to a tripod or quick release plate. For ease of upgrading its firmware, this adapter also includes a micro-USB port.
