Hoya Variable Neutral Density Filter<\/strong>
\nVary the Amount of Light with Just One Filter<\/p>\n

The HOYA Variable Neutral Density filter can take the place of a range of graded ND filters which saves money by only needing to buy one filter and saves time on location or on set by not needing to change filters constantly to change the effect, just turn the ring to get the effect you want.<\/p>\n

The HOYA Variable Neutral Density filter puts you in control.<\/p>\n

This Hoya density filter is equipped with two polarising layers to control the amount of light entering to the camera objetkiv. At the minimum setting, the filter allows 1\/3 of the light to pass through to the lens. This is equivalent to 1.5 stops on the aperture or shutter speed. At the maximum setting, the filter only allows 1\/400th of the light to pass through to the lens. This is equivalent to 9 stops on the aperture or shutter speed. After the filter is attached to the lens, you can rotate it between “Min” and “Max”, thus controlling the amount of light entry.<\/p>\n

With this variable density filter from Hoya you have the possibility with fast lenses such as a 50 mm f\/1.4 lens, fully open and in full sun, with low depth of field. However, you can also slow down the shutter speed so that the clasp can stand open for a few seconds in the blazing sun. This is enough to make artificial blurry shots of movements of water, cars, people and almost anything else that moves. The possibilities are endless!<\/p>\n

Why use a Variable Density Filter?<\/strong>
\nWhen using a camera in its fully manual mode the exposure time and aperture size can be adjusted.<\/p>\n

Adding a variable density filter adds control of the amount of light entering the lens which enables increased exposure times and\/or apertures while using the neutral density filter to prevent overexposure.<\/p>\n

Without Filter<\/strong>
\nThe HOYA Variable Neutral Density filter provides a convenient way to maintain exposure control by being able to vary the amount of light entering the camera by 1.5 to 9 stops (0.45 to 2.7 density for Cine use).<\/p>\n

With Filter<\/strong>
\nThis control allows for many special effects such as being able to control depth of field by using a wider aperture or create or control motion blur by being able to choose just the right slower shutter speeds for perfect blurring.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
