The Falcon Eyes SO-40TD is a modern LED solution that provides extremely soft light. The individual LEDs are invisible; instead, a single, soft haze of light is emitted. The SO-40TD has a wattage of 40 watts. The light is emitted at a 65-degree angle, and its CRI value of 95 ensures natural colors. The brightness of the light is infinitely adjustable via the built-in touchscreen. The color temperature can also be adjusted from 3000K to 5600K. You can power the SO-40TD with the included power adapter or an optional V-mount battery. A V-mount to NP-F adapter is also included, allowing the SO-40TD to run on two NP-F batteries.<\/p>\n

The SO-40TD is indispensable for video recording in your studio and on location. This type of lighting is also increasingly used for portrait photography. The soft, diffused light creates a natural rendering of the subject. Thanks to the spigot mount, the SO-40TD fits on virtually any light stand. The lamp features pivot points on the sides, allowing it to be adjusted to virtually any angle. Using the control panel on the back of the lamp, you can control multiple lamps simultaneously with a single control panel. Simply set the lamps to the same channel (A\/B\/C\/D). If you use different types of lamps from the Sophiez, LPL, and RX series, you can also control them with a single control panel. Sophiez lamps with the “TDX” in their name are not compatible with the “TD” versions. For example, you cannot wirelessly control the SO-48TD with the SO-108TDX.
