Audio-Technica ATW-3141b Overview:

The Audio-Technica ATW-3141bI Wireless Handheld System is a frequency agile, true-diversity handheld wireless microphone system that includes the ATW-R3100bI receiver and the ATW-T341bI handheld transmitter. This system is tuned to band I (655.500-680.375 MHz), but is also available in bands C (541.500-566.375 MHz) and D (655.500-680.375 MHz).

The ATW-R3100bI Receiver features Automatic Frequency Scanning, which selects the best available frequency. The True Diversity feature means that the ATW-R3100bI has two independent receiver sections, and automatically sends the strongest signal of the two to the output at any given moment.

The rear panel reveals both unbalanced 1/4″ TS and balanced XLR outputs. A comprehensive back-lit LCD display reveals channel and frequency settings, signal status and transmitter battery status. The receiver also offers a ground lift switch, convenient in situations where bad power feeds result in ground hum and noise on the output stage.

The ATW-T341bI Handheld Transmitter is equipped with an AE4100 cardioid dynamic element. The cardioid polar pattern effectively minimizes noise and feedback at the off-axis sections. The mic has a dual output section that lets you select high or low power, depending on your needs. The low power setting uses up the mic’s two AA batteries more slowly. The mic can get up to 8 hours of life in that setting. On the high power setting, you get up to 6 hours of operation before needing to change batteries.
