Godox KNOWLED MG4K Bi-Color LED Monolight Overview

Emerging as a smaller, yet still effective point-source alternative to the MG6K, Godox brings the KNOWLED MG4K Bi-Color LED Monolight to the market with 2000W of power, advanced features, and various control and modifier options for high-end sets in need of quality image creation. The MG4K expands the brand’s reliable KNOWLED MG line by offering a design with G-mount compatibility, along with an IP65-rated housing. The light has a controller that is intentionally separate from the fixture to allow easy overhead placement, and it also provides a reliable and improved fan cooling system. The intuitive design of the MG4K incorporates Godox’s smallest light source with just 2.4″ diameter of emitting area, which curiously maximizes brightness and optical efficiency. With that being said, the MG4K is developed as a cinema-quality LED that exceeds the brightness of traditional 4K HMI fixtures.

Precision Bi-Color Lighting

The KNOWLED MG4K has a wide color temperature range from 2800 to 10,000K, making it ideal for matching other fixtures or in scenarios with a cool or warm color balance. Other benefits are brightness, accurate color reproduction, and 0.1% precision dimming. TV studios, filmmakers, and lighting designers will appreciate this AC-powered fixture that ensures high-quality bi-color lighting with complete control over its operation.

Combined with the included 30° reflector, the MG4K produces an impressive 640,000 lux at a 3.3′ distance and 5600K setting. It also works with an optional 15° reflector to personalize your creative expression with an even higher, more concentrated output. Godox highlights that the powerful MG4K LED delivers high brightness with half the energy of a traditional 4K HMI fixture.

Intuitive & Advanced

A variety of control methods allow effortless adjustments to control the light and simplify your workflow. While intuitive onboard adjustments are available, DMX, and app control are other options. Users also control the fixture wirelessly via LumenRadio CRMX or opt for Ethernet support.

Consistent Performance

An upgraded fan system is featured to help regulate temperature levels. This improved cooling system ensures rapid heat dissipation and protects the LED itself.

G-Mount Compatible

The light is configured to accept G-mount light modifiers and accessories, such as the included reflector. Add optional G-mount light modifiers to achieve complete control of the light output. The G-Mount ecosystem offers 16 separately available modifiers, from reflectors, Fresnel lenses, and BeamLight options to projection attachments, softboxes, the LiteFlow system, and more.

AC Power & IP65 Rating

Made for those in studios or places with access to AC power, the MG4K comes with AC and DC power cords. Rated IP65 for weather resistance, the light can withstand dust, water splashes, rain, fog, or other extreme weather. Rig, move, and position the MG4K on set thanks to its manageable 22 lb light head-only structure. The light delivers class-leading output in a more compact size.
