The Rode M1 is a handheld cardioid dynamic microphone designed for reliable reproduction of vocals, speech, guitars, and drums in concert venues, houses of worship, and live stage applications. Its dynamic element utilizes a neodymium magnet for high output without excessive preamp gain and delivers a frequency response of 75 Hz to 18 kHz. The resulting tone is smooth and defined with a mild bump at 200 Hz and a gentle rise from 4 to 10 kHz.
The cardioid polar pattern excels at rejecting sound at its off-axis points, yielding enhanced immunity to feedback. The balanced, low-impedance output and low handling noise maintain signal integrity, and the durable, all-metal construction delivers tour-worthy toughness. The M1’s gold-plated XLR 3-pin output ensures high conductivity and compatibility with most microphone preamps. It ships with a microphone clip and a padded zip pouch.
