Our successful “F:X Pro Filter” series has gained an extremely practical addition. And this time it’s a filter that comes with a truly exciting innovation. Because here you get an ND filter that isn’t limited to just one strength, but is variable .

This means you can continuously adjust the filter between strengths ND8 and ND512 to suit any shooting situation . To ensure you can precisely select the strength you need, we’ve included aperture settings between 3 and 9 on the side of the filter . Want to photograph a sunrise and a tourist attraction and would normally need two different strengths? No problem. The variable ND filter combines both required strengths in one. 

With an ND filter, you can capture magically detailed images with longer exposure times, even in bright sunlight. Moving elements in your composition can be blurred, which, when photographing a river, makes the water appear silky smooth, while stationary parts of the image remain sharply defined. These filters reduce the amount of visible light reaching the camera’s image sensor through a neutral gray coating. Our coating offers extremely high light transmission and color neutrality .

But the filter isn’t just suitable for photography, it’s also great for videography . For example, if you want to shoot a video in really bright conditions, like on a sun-drenched beach, then a little bit of sunglasses will benefit not only you, but also your camera.

The glass used to make these filters is the tried and tested premium filter glass that is also used in our F:X-Pro rectangular filters and our drone filters . A special manufacturing process makes it legendary in its durability.
