Hollyland Lark Max 2 Combo – 2-Person Wireless Microphone System Overview:
The Hollyland LARK MAX 2 Combo is a feature-packed, user-friendly digital wireless microphone system with support for wireless monitoring designed for videographers, podcasters, streamers, and content creators. It lets you capture two on-camera voices with broadcast-quality sound straight out of the box—recording directly to cameras or USB-C/Lightning mobile devices. Delivering crystal-clear 32-bit/48 kHz audio throughout the entire signal chain, it captures every detail from recording to transmission to monitoring.
AI noise cancellation and auto-gain ensure natural, consistent sound levels. Each transmitter also functions as a 32-bit float recorder with a built-in timecode generator, providing reliable backups in case of signal dropouts. With 2.4 GHz wireless monitoring and optional OWS earphones (available separately), you get real-time, cable-free audio monitoring anywhere.
What’s in the Combo?
The Combo includes two ultracompact clip-on transmitters, each with a built-in omnidirectional mic, furry windshield, magnetic clip, and silicone sleeve.
It also comes with a camera-mount receiver and a USB-C plug-in receiver for use with USB-C iOS/Android. A Lightning adapter cable is provided for iOS devices with Lightning ports.
A charging case stores and powers both transmitters and receivers.
Two Clip-On Transmitter/Mics: Discreet, Lightweight, and Comfortable
The compact, featherlight LARK MAX 2 transmitter/microphones attach seamlessly to your clothing using an innovative hover-clip design, staying discreetly and stylishly in place. You can also secure them with a magnetic clip, offering flexible wearing options without sacrificing comfort or aesthetics.
Weighing just 0.5 oz, each mic is light enough to wear all day without pulling or sagging your clothing. Made from skin-friendly, excimer nano-coated materials, the transmitter/mic feels smooth to the touch and ensures lasting comfort, even during extended use.
For an even more discreet look, two USB-C to 3.5mm adapters mount on the transmitters, enabling you to connect optional lavalier mics (available separately). The transmitters can be clipped to belts or hidden in pockets.
32-Bit Full-Chain Audio Transmission
Transform your production workflow with the LARK MAX 2’s revolutionary 32-bit full-chain audio transmission. Record professional-grade, 32-bit audio directly into your video, eliminating on-set audio risks and streamlining postproduction. The receiver’s USB-C port is capable of outputting 32-bit float or 24-bit digital audio.
FocalClear Technology for Acoustic Excellence
Hollyland’s proprietary FocalClear Technology elevates vocal clarity by zeroing in on your voice, much like a camera lens captures focus. It enhances vocal frequencies while naturally filtering out background distractions, delivering clear, full-bodied sound.
Pair the mic with a furry windshield for dual-layer protection—dramatically reducing wind interference and ensuring your audio remains untouched by the elements.
AI Noise Cancellation: Smart, Adaptive, and Powerful
Harness the power of advanced deep-learning with Hollyland’s AI noise cancellation. More than just noise reduction, this intelligent system “listens” like a human—trained on vast datasets to distinguish speech from background noise.
From keystrokes and footsteps to sirens and thunderstorms, the system dynamically adapts to suppress unwanted noise while preserving vocal integrity. With stepless noise reduction from 5 to 25 dB, your audio remains clean, clear, and professional—no matter the environment.
Automatic Gain Control: No More Clipping or Distortion
The LARK MAX 2’s Automatic Gain Control (AGC) ensures that your sound level remains consistent with dynamic adjustment across three sensitivity levels: High, Medium, and Low.
Ideal for live streaming, meetings, recording sessions, and online presentations, the system automatically compensates for fluctuations in volume, preventing clipping and distortion—no manual tweaking required.
Reliable Backup with 32-Bit Float Internal Recording
With 32-bit float internal recording, you’ll capture every nuance—from the quietest whisper to the loudest peak—with flawless dynamic range.
Each transmitter features 8GB of built-in storage, supporting up to 14 hours of uncompressed audio recording—perfect as a backup to your main feed.
You can also use the transmitter as a standalone recorder, capturing professional-quality audio without needing a separate device. 8GB Storage / 10 hours of 32-bit float recording / 14 hours of 24-bit recording.
Create Anytime, Anywhere
Each transmitter delivers up to 11 hours of runtime (with noise cancellation off), extendable to a full 36 hours using the included charging case—eliminating battery anxiety for good.
While connected to a smartphone, the receiver’s USB-C port can also charge your phone, maximizing efficiency on the go.
36 hours battery life / 11 hours per charge / 2.5x full charges / <1.5 hour charging time.
Exceptional Anti-Interference and Extended Wireless Range
Utilizing advanced 2.4 GHz frequency hopping technology, the LARK MAX 2 delivers pure, uninterrupted sound with ultralow 20ms latency—even in crowded signal environments like conference centers or city streets.
With a maximum wireless range of up to 1115′ in open, interference-free conditions, you get rock-solid performance wherever your shoot takes you.
Perfect Timecode Sync, Perfect Sound
The built-in frame-level timecode feature ensures precise sync between your video and internal audio recordings via 3.5mm or UAC outputs.
This allows for perfect alignment in postproduction—saving time and effort for filmmakers and creators who demand tight workflows and perfect AV sync.
Expand Your System with Optional OWS Monitoring Earphones
Wirelessly monitor camera audio via optional OWS earphones (available separately) paired to the receiver—offering complete mobility up to 333′ (line-of-sight). For added convenience, the optional receiver hot-shoe adapter (available separately) simplifies setup and eliminates cable clutter.
The earphones feature a trendy open-ear design with adjustable hooks for a secure and comfortable fit all day long. Designed for creators, the OWS lets you monitor your audio while staying alert to your surroundings. With ultralow 25ms latency and up to 18 hours of battery life, they’re engineered for peak performance.
In addition to monitoring audio from the camera, the OWS earphones also support wireless audio monitoring from smartphones through the receiver—either via the USB-C receiver or the camera receiver. You can also monitor audio directly from both. This versatility makes it perfect for real-time applications like live streaming, podcasting, and voice chat.
