Manfrotto Nitrotech 608 Tripod System Overview:

The Manfrotto 608 Nitrotech Fluid Head with 645 FAST Twin Aluminum Tripod System and Bag combines the innovative Nitrotech 608 fluid head with the 2-stage aluminum 645 FAST Twin tripod legs and mid-level spreader, creating an effective combination of stability and smooth, precise control. The legs feature a 100mm bowl and include a removable 75mm adapter, allowing you to mount a head with a 100 or 75mm ball. This kit also includes a half ball adapter that permits the mounting of the 608 head with its flat base on the legs. The head features variable pan and tilt drag with independent locks and continuous counterbalance from 0 to 17.6 pounds.

The aluminum legs are durable, strong, and feature the Ultra L-Lock that enables you to lock and unlock the legs using only one locking lever located at the top of each leg, so you don’t have to bend down to unlock the legs. The legs feature 3 x locking positions for spreader-less operation, or you can use the included mid-level spreader with the legs set to free movement. Included with this system is a padded carrying bag for storage and transport.

Manfrotto 608 Nitrotech Fluid Video Head
The Manfrotto 608 Nitrotech is a flat base fluid video head designed for the versatility needs of the independent content creator who’s engaged in different types of projects. Thanks to its flat base with a 3/8″-16 mounting thread, as well as its relatively compact and lightweight design, the head can easily be moved between a compatible tripod and a slider, jib, monopod, and various other gear. One of the key features of the 608 Nitrotech is its Nitrogen gas piston counterbalance mechanism (hence, Nitrotech), which allows continuous counterbalance adjustment—as opposed to stepped or fixed—for the head’s full payload range of 0 to 30.9 lb. Additionally, an upgraded fluid technology significantly improves continuously variable drag performance and enables smooth and judder-free pan and tilt movements.

Providing further flexibility, the head’s camera plate system features a side-lock mechanism that allows for quicker and safer mounting of your camera plate and camera load. Instead of having to align and slide in your camera plate from the rear, you’re able to conveniently tuck in one side of the plate from the top and then push and click on the other side.

The 608 Nitrotech offers two rosette mounts for attaching the included pan bar on either the left or right side. These rosettes also feature Manfrotto’s Easy Link system for mounting accessories via an articulating arm. Each rosette has a 3/8″-16 port in the center and both Manfrotto and ARRI anti-rotation slots surrounding the mounting port. The Easy Link system is designed to support Manfrotto articulating arms equipped with anti-rotation pins or those with ARRI locating pins to prevent twisting. At the same time, standard articulating arms can also be attached.

Other features of the 608 Nitrotech include improved resistance to lower operating temperatures in comparison to previous Nitrotech models and improved ergonomics and materials used for the different knobs.

Manfrotto 645 FAST Twin Leg Video Tripod with Ultra L-Lock Mechanism (Aluminum)
The Manfrotto 645 FAST Twin Leg Video Tripod with Ultra L-Lock Mechanism is a two-stage aluminum tripod with a 100mm bowl and a single leg lock mechanism for each leg. A 100 to 75mm bowl adapter is included, so you get the flexibility to use 100 or 75mm video heads. The tripod features twin spiked feet with removable rubber overshoes, allowing for use on various terrain as well as on flat, smooth surfaces. It supports up to 55 pounds and has a maximum working height of 61.8″, a minimum height of 10.6″, and a folded length of 28.7″.

The tripod legs are selectable between free movement or having three locking leg positions so you can use the legs without a spreader. The optional Manfrotto MVASPR2N1 2-in-1 spreader can be attached if desired.

Leg Locks
The legs feature Manfrotto’s Ultra-L Lock for the Twin FAST tripod legs. This allows you to lock and unlock both leg stages using only one locking lever located at the top of each leg, so you don’t have to bend down to unlock the legs.
Spreader or Spreaderless
The legs incorporate a locking mechanism that enables the legs to move completely freely, suitable when working with a spreader, or to lock at one of three angles, 70, 50, and 20°, which is suitable for use when working without a spreader.

You can use the included rubber feet to protect delicate surfaces from the tripod’s foot spikes.
100 to 75mm Bowl Adapter
